Music CD Recording Projects
Recording band CDs is more then just setting up microphones and hitting the record button. At BSR they feel it should be about helping the band create the best performance they are capable of. Taking the time to work out parts that musically may not work as well as they could, recognizing a bad note when it is played and then knowing the best way to fix, either by performing it again with a punch in or doing the good ol’ copy and paste. Let’s face it in today’s economy bands can’t spend months or even weeks in the studio. So the studio needs to know how to maximize the time and budget. BSR can do that.

Mark Johnson has produced and co-produced over 15 CDs for local and regional musicians in the last 5 years. Mind you not just recorded but “Produced”. This involves engineering, writing, arranging and sometimes performing the instruments on the CD. Mark will take time to help with your arrangements, performance issues, tempo, and feel. Mark has been a musician his whole life and takes great pride in working with a group and not just “for” a group. This helps to achieve a common goal, what recording a CD is all about, creating and capturing the best performance of the band or individual.
