Services and Projects Some of the recordings done at BSR Modern Woodmen of America-"Our Great Democracy"-This is a special project. Mark Johnson was contacted to write 12 original songs based on a curriculum offered by Modern Woodmen of America. The program was designed for children in preschool to 8th grade. The material covered Democracy and Civic Responsibility. The program is free to any organization. By employing the help of many talented performers Mark was able to bring 12 very entertaining and educational songs to the project. Here are some samples:
Jim the Mule- “Self titled” a great work of southern rock meets alternative. This band has a bright future in front of them. If you haven’t caught their show or CD I highly recommend it. Slide guitar and precision rhythms tight harmonies are what make Jim the Mule a great band. Metrolites --“Man from Metro” – Surf, Spy, Spaghetti Western original music CD. Check them out on the CD Release page. Wow, are these guys something different. You got to hear it to believe it. I recorded and sometimes wonder what they will do next.
Josh Duffee Orchestra – 20’ & 30’s style big band jazz.- Recorded live at the Capital Theater in Davenport IA truly one of the best venues for live acoustic recording. Just Friends -”Stress Pass” – Combination of pop and jazz blended together. A beautifully performed CD. Paul Hale’s arrangements bring new life to these great standards. Don Kincaid – “Get on the Journey” – A beautiful strong voice with the conviction to back it up. This Christian CD is not what many may expect. Drawn from a theater background arranged around a jazz feel, these songs are truly touching and personal. Kim Wiseman – “He’s not that Far” – Co-written by Mark Johnson and Kim Wiseman. This is a contemporary Christian CD with an edge. Check this CD out on the CD release pages.
